Where the engineering had consequences.

  1. Romeo Power

    July 2021 – 2023

    Vernon, California

    Software Engineer

Battery management software for electric commercial vehicles, centred on predicting thermal runaway before it happens.

    • Built a thermal-runaway prediction algorithm for deployment on the battery management system.
    • Worked against real pack telemetry, where a false negative is a fire and a false positive is a stranded truck.
    • Shipped firmware into a safety-critical system with the review discipline that implies.

  2. VIIT Robotics Club

    2015 – 2019

    Pune, India

    Member, then lead

Four years of competition robotics, starting with a motor driver that kept failing and ending at Robocon.

    • Designed and rebuilt a MOSFET motor driver until it survived a full match.
    • Competed at Robocon 2016, where the team beat IIT Delhi.
    • Learned more from the failures on the bench than from anything in a lecture hall.
